Assistant Principals

Mr. Anthony Smith-Wright will continue to serve as one of the Assistant Principals at Clifford Davis. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin and his master's degree from Texas Wesleyan University. Mr. Smith has proudly served in Fort Worth ISD since 2017 and joined the Clifford Davis team in 2024. Before transitioning into campus leadership, Mr. Smith served as a 5th-grade science teacher, during which he was recognized as Fort Worth ISD's District Teacher of the Year, and later served as a Campus Data Analyst.

Mr. Smith is dedicated to building positive relationships with students, families, and staff while creating a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment that sets students up for success at Clifford Davis and beyond. He looks forward to continuing to serve the Clifford Davis community to help every student reach their full potential.

Dr. Denisha Johnson will continue as one of the Assistant Principals. She is a product of Fort Worth ISD - born and raised in Stop Six, Texas, and a graduate of Paul Laurence Dunbar High School, home of The Flying Wildcats. She earned her bachelor's degree from Baylor University and studied Communication Sciences and Disorders (speech pathology). Her master's and doctoral degrees were conferred by Concordia University Texas, with a focus on Educational Leadership.

She has been with Fort Worth ISD for 16 years as a teacher, campus testing coordinator/data analyst, and dean of instruction. She has served students at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, including at L. Clifford Davis from 2012-2014 as an ELAR/Writing teacher. She is excited and honored to be back at LCD and looks forward to making 2026-2027 a great and memorable school year.

Ms. Courtney Spitzer will serve as one of the Assistant Principals at Clifford Davis Elementary. With 16 years of experience in education, she is committed to supporting student achievement, fostering positive relationships, and creating a collaborative school culture where students and staff can thrive.

Before joining Fort Worth ISD, Ms. Spitzer served in both Kennedale ISD and Mansfield ISD. During her career, she had the opportunity to lead the opening of a new Pre-K center. This experience strengthened her passion for building strong school communities and supporting young learners from the very beginning of their education journey.

She is excited to partner with the students, families, and staff at Clifford Davis to ensure every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.
